It would be a story book ending to a great career for Peyton Manning if the Broncos were able to pull off the upset. The story would almost be perfect. It’s too bad he has to face the flawless Panther defense, and the athleticism of Cam Newton. The pride of the Panthers, and their will to win is a mountain he won’t be able to climb this time.

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers have enjoyed a magical season, but I think the Denver Broncos will be dabbing at the end of the night. Both defenses will create pressure, and may force critical turnovers, but I’m trusting Peyton Manning to use his expert knowledge to make the necessary run-pass audibles. In the last moments of the game, it’ll come down to which quarterback will make the key throws to wield their team victory; and like a fairy-tale ending, Mr. Manning will ride off into the sunset of retirement as champion of Super Bowl 50. Bold Prediction: Beyonce shuts off stadium electricity AGAIN following her halftime performance with Coldplay.

As much as everyone would like to see Peyton Manning ride off into the sunset with (another) Super Bowl win, I just don’t see the “Sheriff” holding up against this dynamic Panther team. It’s easy to talk about Super Cam Newton, but the players on the other side of the ball are going to make all the plays on Sunday. If the Panthers defense can make Manning and the Broncos one-dimensional, they could be in for a long day. We know what happened the last time Peyton faced a stout defense in the Super Bowl. (Seahawks 43, Broncos 8). Bold Prediction: The Panthers’ Joe Webb will take one to the house for a 103 yard kickoff return.
